Disney World occasionally offers some discount packages during the off-season. Normally, no discounts are given on vacation packages at other times. While going to Disney World for a vacation, one should keep in mind that the vacation packages offered are more for your convenience than savings. Buying a vacation package does not automatically make you eligible for a discount. So it makes better sense to book a "room only" reservation with the AAA discount or another discount and then purchase the package components such as tickets, meals, etc separately. If you want to book a vacation package, it is better if you consult a travel agent who has experience in Disney travel because it may be tough for you to judge which package would be best for your particular situation. In a major change from earlier practice, you are now allowed to book a vacation packages for 14 nights, though you still cannot purchase a ticket longer than 10 days.

You can now choose from a number of Magic Your Way package options. Disney’s Magic Your Way Package is the base package helps you experience the magic of a Walt Disney World vacation at a discount. The package includes accommodations at a Disney-owned-and-operated resort hotel, and Magic Your Way base tickets for everyone in the group. The Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining includes everything from the base package, and adds a dining plan that includes two meals and a snack per person, per package night at more than 100 restaurants across the Walt Disney World Resort.

The Magic Your Way Premium Package includes everything from Disney’s Magic Your Way Package as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner per person, per package night, along with other exciting options like recreation, theme park tours, admission to the Cirque du Soleil show La Nouba and more. The Magic Your Way Platinum Package includes, apart from your hotel room and tickets, breakfast, lunch, dinner and room service, unlimited recreation (bicycle and boat rentals), unlimited select tours, reserved seating for Fantasmic!, private golf lessons, one selected spa treatment, tickets for Cirque du Soleil La Nouba, unlimited child care in the resort Child Activity Centers, in-room child care, Fireworks Cruise, itinerary planning, Platinum Plan keepsake and turndown service.

Because Disney World is keen on your staying there for at least 6 nights/7 days, they give you greater discounts on Magic Your Way Packages if you stay longer, say between 5 and 7 days. Staying for 7 days costs just a little more than staying 4 days. So make your vacation longer. The Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining is a great option. You just pay $38.99 per night per adult, $10.99 per night per child ( aged between 3 and 9) to add the dining plan to a basic package. For that amount you will get a sit-down meal, a counter-service meal and a snack every day. If you buy Disney World’s spring discount vacation package in 2007, you pay for a regularly priced vacation package including accommodations and Magic Your Way Base tickets, and your tickets are automatically upgraded to include the Park Hopper Option and the Water Park Fun & More Option.
